Twitter is becoming more and more popular for athletes that it is nearly to the point of necessity. It has become a common way for professional athletes to keep in touch with teammates, fans, press and is helping them build an image as well. The biggest thing Twitter is helping athletes do is manage their brand and endorsements. It is an easy way to reach thousands of people and let them know what their favorite brands are or what it is they’re eating, drinking, wearing and buying. Easy way to have a nice name drop every now and then. So for the professional athletes who are looking to gain a slight edge in your personal brand value that havn’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, just get a Twitter account already.
