Coming every Monday we will share a piece of a story in the making with you from a former NCAA Division 1 baseball player who is currently training with one outstanding goal in mind… Ironman. Derek Dalzell is a 23 year old 2011 college graduate from Centenary College of Louisiana and is currently residing in Shreveport, Louisiana where he works, trains and doesn’t take a single day for granted. His just keep livin attitude and constantly high spirits keep those around him smiling, and those reading his words feel inspired. Ironman is one of the gutsiest, most grueling, and intense competitions in the world where we truly find out who has that near beyond humanly trait to push themselves beyond their limit to cross the finish line first… if at all. Do you know what these athletes put into their training year round for the races? Do you know the miles they run each day… after their normal 9-5 jobs? The foods they intake? The mindset they must sustain? The sacrifices? The passion?… Do you REALLY KNOW Ironman???
