Founder / Chief Executive Officer
Kyle Mauch is a former NCAA D1 baseball player turned entrepreneur. Less than a year after forgoing a professional baseball career to start a business in sports, Mauch was selected as a 2012 Sports Industry 30 Under Thirty for his work in sports marketing after founding Gloves Off Sports, llc.
Gloves Off Sports, llc was created with the athletes in mind. Kyle wanted to create a hub that would “take the suits out of the sport” and help give sports back to the athletes. In essence, he wanted to start a company where athletes are the ones working with other athletes rather than money hungry businessmen.
Kyle wanted to work in sports because sports are the only way of life he knows and loves. His passion for the game and his competitive nature are what makes his work in sports marketing special. Anything that has his name behind it he makes sure to put everything he has behind it, including his work with Gloves Off Sports, llc.
A native of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Kyle also has a love for the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and hiking. He attended Centenary College of Louisiana where he majored in Business Administration and he also received an Associates degree in Liberal Arts during junior college. Without a doubt he is a creative and it shows in his work with his other company, AthSwag Apparel just as much as it does in his online sports marketing and brand management.
Sports Networking is something he strongly believes in as well. GlovesOffSports.com has helped put Mauch on center stage in the college Sports Networking community after he spent a year teaching college students how to break into the industry before they graduate college just as he did. Today, Mauch hosts the LA Sports Industry Meet Up. The meet up is for professional athletes and those that work in the sports industry to network once a month and bring together the community.
Mauch prides himself on staying unprofessional. You heard me right. Suits and ties are rare in his wardrobe. Doing business with Kyle you sometimes forget you’re doing business and that’s the goal. His #1 concern is being happy and helping those around him be happy, so a comfortable business relationship makes for a successful one. Text messaging and tweeting business updates is common nature for him.
Feel free to reach out to Kyle anytime you want. He’s an open book and always enjoys meeting new people.
